Short version: Romance Book World does not collect personal information.

What this site does. romancebookworld.com is an informational directory. There are no user accounts and nothing here requires you to identify yourself. No advertising network, tracking pixel, session-recording tool, or chat widget is loaded on any page.

Analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics, a measurement service provided by Google LLC, to understand aggregate site usage. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish visits; the Site's configuration disables Google Signals and advertising personalization, and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable state privacy laws. The measurement also excludes the one-time tokens carried in "Get alerts" and "Update info" links, so a follow or unsubscribe link never reaches Google as tracking data. If your browser sends an opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control), nothing more is collected than described here, and no personalization results either way. Blocking or clearing cookies for the Site, or using Google's own opt-out browser add-on, stops the measurement; nothing is lost by doing so.

Hosting. The Site runs on Cloudflare's network. As with any web host, each request's IP address passes through that infrastructure so pages can be delivered and abuse can be blocked. We do not use those addresses to identify anyone.

If you write to us. Emailing [email protected] gives us your address and message, which we use to reply and for nothing else.

If you use the "Get alerts" form on an author or event page, we store the email address you give us plus which author, event, or "all events" target you asked to follow, and an unguessable token that lets you manage or cancel that one subscription. We use it only to send the alert you asked for; we don't combine it with anything else and we don't send a newsletter.

If you use the "Update info" correction form, we store what you submit (name if given, email, an optional URL, and your message) purely for a person to review by hand. No confirmation or automated email is ever sent from that form.

Selling data. There is none to sell, and we would not sell it if there were.

"Do Not Track." The Site does not track you across other sites either way, so the DNT signal doesn't switch anything off here. See "Analytics" above for how to opt out of the measurement this Site does run, and for how Global Privacy Control is honored.

Kids. This Site is not aimed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect nothing from them.

Updates. Any change to these practices appears here first, with a new revision date.
